From Covid-19 to the continued attack on Black lives in our country, chaos abounds and it can feel as if the work never stops, especially for those in the throws of the creativity, innovation, and imagination required in our current social and cultural moment. Like the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we find ourselves wondering where to go from here and fighting to choose community over chaos.

healing

The idea of healing is central to many of our social change and movement spaces, but it is rarely actualized. What would it look like if we centralized healing and resilience practices that started with us? If we circled up, together and went deep? How might it change us, our work, and the world? These are questions that many of us have started to ask, including We Remember Nashville, as we have navigated a needed pause and consideration of our future work.

retreat

So, in October of 2022, a group of artists, organizers, and human beings committed to social justice and change in their spheres of influence will gather for a different type of retreat led by Amy Babish and Micky Scottbey Jones. This retreat was envisioned by We Remember Nashville, Founder + Board Chair, Brittany T. Paschall is by invitation only.

We know that this retreat is not “the” answer and we certainly believe that with your support it can be a life-changing time of rest, renewal, and revival both individually and collectively. Below you can donate towards the retreat or pay if you are an attendee.
